The goal of this website is to provide a one-stop location for the school counselors of Des Moines Public Schools in their quest to provide a comprehensive school counseling program at their schools. A comprehensive school counseling program that aligns itself with the ASCA National Model is the goal of every school counselor and school counseling program in the Des Moines Public School District. Here you will find a ASCA National Model Map with descriptions and examples of all 12 components of a comprehensive school counseling program, news about school counseling from around the district, a message board to communicate with your peers, articles related to the field of school counseling, contact information, as well as a place to provide feedback about the website.
